Handrail: tube and fitting, or fabricated
The simplest FRP handrail is round or square tube joined by molded fittings and bonded or pinned; it is assembled on site with no welding. Fabricated handrail uses square tube posts bolted to channel or angle bases with rails fitted through drilled posts. Both start from the same tube product; the fitting system and the drawing decide which to buy.
Fixed ladders and cages
Ladder side rails are channel sections, rungs are round tube, and cages are built from flat strip hoops and channel verticals. Electrical service uses polyurethane or specially insulated rails; ask for the insulating ladder rail profiles on the polyurethane page. The ladder standard the site applies fixes rung spacing, clearances and when a cage or climbing system is required.
Platforms and walkways
Platform framing uses I beams and channels; the deck is fiberglass grating, molded for small panels and chemical exposure, pultruded for long spans and directional load. The grating load tables guide explains how to read a manufacturer's span table and what to request for the quoted panel.
