Seawalls and bulkheads
FRP sheet piles are driven or vibrated into place and capped with concrete or an FRP waler. They are chosen for residential canals, marinas, erosion control and cutoff walls where wall height and loads are moderate and steel or vinyl would corrode or deform. The sheet pile guide explains the test evidence that exists for FRP piling and why the wall engineer sets the allowable moment, not the catalogue.
Docks, piers and boardwalks
Fiberglass deck boards span between joists like timber, are fixed with stainless screws or clips, and do not splinter or rot. Round-tube railing with molded fittings is assembled on site. Pier framing uses I beams and channels; grating gives an open deck that drains. Marine hardware should be stainless of a grade the project specifies.
What stays with the marine engineer
Wall design, embedment, deck loads and railing loads come from the project engineer and the local code. pultrx supplies sections to the drawing with the material and dimensional evidence agreed in the quotation; no load rating or service life is claimed for a catalogue product.
