Use this reference for your project
This pultrusion cost per meter worksheet is an input register for the site calculator. Record a source, date and unit for each number before comparing scenarios. It contains no supplier prices or production-performance estimates.
Keep scheduled time, running time, gross output and accepted output distinct. Define scrap once and use the same output basis across the cost model so that rejected production is not counted twice.
How to use it
- 01
Define one scenario
Record the profile revision, material system, currency and reporting period.
- 02
Collect measured inputs
Use supplier quotations, trial records, metering and plant cost records.
- 03
Check the output basis
Keep uptime and scrap definitions separate and use total meters across all cavities.
- 04
Review the result
Run the existing calculator and add excluded costs separately before pricing an order.
Cost inputs and source records
Use these fields and checks with your project documents. Record the agreed values and evidence in the editable file.
| Input group | Unit / basis | Evidence to collect | Recorded value |
|---|---|---|---|
| Profile mass | kg/m of finished profile | Weighed sample and measured length, or reviewed drawing estimate | |
| Reinforcement fraction | % of finished mass | Material design or applicable sample test record | |
| Reinforcement price | Currency/kg; weighted mix if needed | Delivered roving, mat and veil quotations | |
| Resin-system price | Currency/kg of full formulation | Costed resin, filler and additive formulation | |
| Line speed and cavities | m/min; active cavity count | Trial or production record for the proposed section | |
| Schedule and uptime | h/shift; shifts/day; days/year; % | Plant schedule and defined running-time record | |
| Average power and tariff | kW; currency/kWh | Measured running demand and applicable energy bill | |
| Crew cost | Currency per line-hour | Documented labor allocation for the defined crew | |
| Die cost and allocation length | Currency; total meters across cavities | Tooling quotation and documented allocation assumption | |
| Scrap and start-up loss | % of gross produced meters | Recorded accepted and rejected output on one basis | |
| Excluded costs | Currency/m on the same output basis | Overhead, depreciation, packing, testing and delivery scope |
Scope and reading notes
- The calculator models selected direct costs. Its result is not a selling price or quotation; add the relevant excluded costs and commercial scope separately.
- Do not infer density, fiber content, speed, uptime or die life from an unrelated profile. Label unmeasured assumptions in the project record.
- Use one currency and reconcile all input units. Keep quoted and measured dates beside the recorded values.
